This Week’s Recipe: Spicy Carrot and Lime Salad
Inspiration: Back in June (I took a mental health break in July), I made a delicious Hamburg.
Well, with any variation on a burger, you need sides!
And I love carrots….So I perused my cookbooks and found the perfect side in Fiery Ferments by Kirsten & Christopher Shockey, a fermented Fresno and carrot salad. (Which I constructed a week prior to making the Hamburgh.)

It turned out great! Bright, spicy, and a bit crunchy! It was a great addition to he plate and it’s simple to make (it just takes time).
Christie: I can see Colonel Race having both the patience to make this side and taste for spice to eat it.
