
This Week’s Recipe: Tzatziki
Inspiration: So recently we found a new Greek restaurant and of course I tried the chicken gyro….which got me thinking – why can’t I make this? And every meal plan needs to start somewhere, so I started looking for a good tzatziki recipe. After comparing several, I landed on one from a blog called Love and Lemons.
Now, while I stuck with the recipe with the amount of Greek yogurt and olive oil I used…I used about three or four times as much dill, I chopped instead of grated the cucumber, and added extra lemon juice. (Honestly, I’m guessing at the amounts here, as I used the recipe as a base then adjusted the amounts based on how it tasted. Apparently, I’m a fan of dill.)
Christie: This is a sauce I can see any of our detectives (Marple, Poirot, Battle, or Race) eating, depending on the dish. It’s creamy, herby, and bright and pairs well with veggies!
